I am so excited to bring this class to you for a second year! Although I will have pre-prepared Italian Meringue Buttercream for you to use on the day I will be giving a demonstration on how to make this – including my tips and tricks as this can be a tricky little lady to master.
First of all you will learn how to coat your two cakes with Italian Meringue Buttercream and create the very ‘on trend’ wavey line effect on the top tier and buttercream ruffles on the bottom tier. Complete the design by creating piped buttercream roses, dahlia and foliage before finishing with a gold edge to your ruffled tier.
You will need to bring 2 cakes - 1 X 5” or 6” round and 1 X 7” or 8” round (please advise which sizes you intend to bring at the time of booking. I can supply recipes for chocolate or vanilla cakes but feel free to bring your own recipe for this pretty cake. It would be helpful if you could pre-cut your cakes so that they are level and ready to be filled so that we can get on with the exciting bits of the class straight away. Everything else supplied for you to use on the day.
